Full of Beans is a baby and toddler friendly cafe near Highbury Park. It was set up as a place for parents to enjoy a good coffee (and cake!) whilst the children could play in a safe, clean environment.
At the front, you will find ample space for buggies alongside colourful wooden furniture and convenient high chairs. A coffee bar serves up delicious hot and cold drinks, and the menu is well-thought out: not only can you order a cake or a spot of lunch for yourself, but you can also ask for fresh vegetable finger food, pasta or toasties for your little one, or even buy an Ella’s Kitchen pouch from their selection. Whether you are going down the BLW or puree route, your baby is catered for, too.
The back room is where the real magic is – shelves of toys, a soft play area and ball pond, books… even the ramp to get down is a convenient ‘road’ on which to race toy cars!
The staff are friendly and helpful, and run different sessions during the week such as storytelling and coffee mornings. The back room is also used for French classes and Tiny Tempo (reviews to come at a later date!).
This place was a real find, and will become more and more useful as the bab gets older.
